HOLIDAY GIFT PROGRAM sponsored by Williams
Friends of AVDA hosts an annual toy drive to collect gifts for AVDA’s families. Companies and groups can purchase off AVDA’s wish list or from a retailer of their choice. Spread joy, buy a toy here.
In 2024, AVDA’s network collected more than 700 gifts, distributed books donated by Books Between Kids, and provided Rockets apparel donated by Tari Eason and the Houston Rockets. Over 200 children were impacted by this initiative.
BUILD-A-BACKPACK PROGRAM sponsored by Ytterberg Deery Knull LLP
Thanks to our friends at YDK and the community, AVDA 100 children impacted by family violence prepare for the school year. We provided backpacks full of school supplies, books, and clothing. Thank you to our partners Good God, Nadine’s and Books Between Kids for your support!
HALLOWEEN
Thanks to the generosity of partner org, Y’alloween, we are able to provide our clients’ children with Halloween costumes and treat bags.
NEW BEGINNINGS DRIVE
A year-end round drive collecting basic essentials and toiletries for AVDA clients escaping abuse.
