Montgomery County BIPP Domestic Violence Programs

Let us help you find the path to safety while confidentially answering your questions.

AVDA is at the forefront of Montgomery County BIPP Domestic Violence Programs, providing BIPP groups in Conroe and The Woodlands. Our BIPP Domestic Violence Programs in Montgomery County (Battering Intervention and Prevention Program) provide a constructive and educational environment for men who have previously been violent or abusive may begin to meaningfully take steps toward ending abusive behavior (women’s BIPP groups are held at our downtown Houston location at this time). Our licensed counselors strive to provide tools to bring about personal change in order to not only prevent further physical, emotional, or verbal abuse, but also to positively guide each participant along a path toward becoming a better parent, partner, and person.

About Our BIPP Classes and Domestic Violence Programs

AVDA’s BIPP Domestic Violence Programs in Montgomery County are fully accredited and AVDA’s BIPP was the first program of its kind to be established in the greater Houston area. As such, BIPP classes and programs in Montgomery County are held to a high standard of excellence and truly endeavor to carefully attend to all of the needs of our participants, including strong case management and referral to additional services if needed. The cost of attending Montgomery County BIPP Domestic Violence Programs is assessed on an income slider scale, and scholarships may be available for those who are unable to fully cover these payments.

BIPP classes for domestic violence also provide DAD-TRAC, which are “Dads Against Domestic Abuse, Teaching Respect and Caring.” It has become clear that participants’ children are often one of the main motivators for ending their abuse, and the impact on children of being exposed to domestic abuse in the home is devastating. AVDA can help. Male children who witness domestic violence are twice as likely to abuse their own wives as adults than sons of non-violent parents*

  • Every year, more than 3 million children witness domestic violence in their homes*
  • Children who live in homes where there is domestic violence also suffer abuse or neglect at high rates (30-60%)*

Together we can shatter the cycle of domestic abuse and create a more peaceful and loving environment within each home.
